Accessories and Upkeep

Once you get to start using your first electronic cigarette, you probably need to some accessories to maintain your device and ensure that it functions right consistently. The most common accessories you need on hand are e-liquids, extra cartridges, batteries, and atomizers. If you have extra bucks, you can also purchase an extra carrying case for fashion and upkeep purposes.

How to refill:

This is the easiest part. You can actually buy a prefilled cartridge and just top it off when needed or you can buy an empty cartridge and manually refill the e-liquid by dripping to the cotton or others use syringe. Take note not to over flood your cartridge with the liquid to avoid the getting in to your mouth in your first few puffs after refilling.

* E-LIQUID *

E-liquid or others call it e-juice is the liquid mixture that is use in refilling flavored or unflavored cartridges. Basically, e-liquid contains:

a. Propylene Glycol (PG) – this provides the vapor mist that looks like smoke and used to suspend the flavor of the liquid. It is safe to use as recognized by FDA and this is commonly found in food additives and toothpastes.

b. Vegetable Glycerin (VG) – users who are allergic to PG chose to use VG. It works like PG however VG is more viscous and gives thicker mouth feels that might give you a greater amount of vapor impression compared to PG.

c. Nicotine – is an oily liquid that is miscible with water in its base form. In tobacco cigarettes as well as in electronic cigarettes, it is one of the addictive components and is also the main factor responsible for the dependence-forming property. Nicotine content comes in different levels from full to zero nicotine. It is highly recommendable though to start in the lowest nicotine level to avoid addiction.

E-liquids come in different flavors and the most used are: tobacco, menthol, coffe, and cherry. There are a lot of brands to choose from. Some of which are Totally Wicked, Parfumer’s Apprentice, and Lorann

* CATRDIGE *

An e cigarette cannot work without a cartridge since this holds the e-liquid mixture that’s being heated by the atomizer to produce the vapor and serves as the mouthpiece of your electronic device. Cartridges are sold in the market pre-filled or empty. Depending on your choice, if you like experimenting and refilling your cartridge with the e-liquid flavor that best suits your taste buds, then you can go for the empty cartridge. But if you are the type of vaper who sticks to one standard flavor like tobacco, menthol, and cherry without mixing any flavorings on top of that, then you can go for the prefilled one and just attach it to your atomizer when you need to replace your old cartridge.

The cartridge’s inner cotton is actually made of polyester batting that you can normally find in fabric stores. You can clean it by either replacing it with a new piece or by taking it off from the cartridge, rinse it, let it dry, and put it back in to your cartridge then start injecting or dropping your e-liquid.
