Electronic cigarette cartridges are sometimes referred to as a mouthpiece. They are small, disposable and affix to the end of a cigarette. Inside of each cartridge is a small plastic cup that holds absorbent material. This absorbent material is saturated with a flavored nicotine solution. This nicotine solution consists of nicotine that has been diluted in propylene glycol.

So, how much nicotine is in a cartridge? Well it depends where you purchase your cartridges at. Some companies offer a user flexibility that allows you to adjust your nicotine preference. There, nicotine levels can be set at 0mg, 6mg, 12mg, or 16mg. The high doses of nicotine are meant to mimic the content of a regular cigarette. However, mid-range and low doses are also available for purchase. These nicotine solutions, which are sold separately for use in the cartridges, are usually referred to as either e-liquid or e-juice.

Solutions are sold in a wide variety of flavors. Original tobacco and menthol are the two basic flavors. There are even some that attempt to mimic a specific cigarette brand. They also come in many other flavors; these include things such as strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and orange, mint, cherry, apple and coffee.

The cartridges do not last forever though. Once they run out, they can either be refilled or replaced with another. A single cartridge is roughly equivalent to a pack and half to two packs of traditional cigarettes. It ultimately depends on the user for how long they will last. Not only will the flavor begin to change and lessen, but there will not be as much vapor when you let out a puff of the electronic cigarette. These are both signs that the cartridge may be in need of a change soon.

There are some great benefits to using all of this. One thing is, despite the different flavors, they do not actually omit a smell. There is no tar or any other carcinogenic substance, and others do not have to worry about exposure and danger of second hand smoke. They come with a rechargeable battery and can save a lot of money in the long run. Also, one of the best parts is that there is no worry about ignition or a possible fire hazard if used carelessly.
